“From Score to Podium” is a three-part conducting masterclass exploring conducting beyond gesture alone - as a process of listening, preparation, rehearsal thinking, communication, and artistic leadership.

Through practical work with a live wind ensemble, rehearsal analysis, discussion, and reflective listening, participants will examine approaches to musical interpretation, ensemble communication, and rehearsal strategy within both wind band and orchestral contexts.

Led by A/Prof Colleen Richardson and A/Prof Chan Tze Law, the masterclass brings together practical ensemble work with broader questions of collaboration, leadership, and musical identity.

Hosted in partnership with the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music and the Wind Bands Association of Singapore.
